Library orientation for College of Pharmacy Faculty

May 5, 2021, Wednesday – The Library conducted a Library Orientation for the College of Pharmacy faculty. The Library presented the online library services of the library, introduced the subject librarian, and discussed the upcoming accreditation for the College.

Director of Libraries Ma. Cynthia T. Peleña hosted the orientation. She introduced the Subject Librarian assigned for the College, Jennifer Bode, who is also the Acquisitions Librarian. The Subject Librarian serves as the coordinator between the library and the college.

Chilou Batoon presented eLibraryUSA and the various resources faculty can use. Jennifer Bode presented ProQuest, an online database the library subscribes to. Allana Delgado, Librarian for the Graduate School and the Bahandian Institutional Repository, introduced Bahandian and how it can be used for study and research. They presented how to access and use these online resources provided by the library.

In preparation for the upcoming accreditation of the college, the Library presented its current status and updates since the last accreditation. Faculty were encouraged to promote these library services to their students.

This year, the Library held orientations for the School of Graduate Studies, College of Computer Studies, and College of Medical Laboratory Science.
