April 14, 2021, Wednesday – The Henry Luce III Library conducted a library orientation for the School of Graduate Studies dean and faculty. Dr. Rowena Libo-on, Dean of the college, hosted the event. More than twenty faculty of the college were present in the virtual meeting.
The Library presented the its current status to the college in preparation for the upcoming accreditation of the School of Graduate Studies programs. The Library also presented the available online resources for faculty and students.
Ma. Cynthia T. Pelena, Director of Libraries, presented the status of the library and accomplishments since the last accreditation. The Director presented the changes and improvements in the library based on the accreditor’s suggestions. Accreditation standards and guidelines were also discussed.
She also introduced the liaison librarians for the School of Graduate Studies, Allana Delgado and Melanie Hermano.
The Director presented the library’s online platforms and resources such as the library website, Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), ProQuest, and Management Study Guide. Graduate School Librarian Allana Delgado also introduced other online resources such as the BAHANDIAN Institutional Repository and eLibraryUSA.
In an earlier event, Archives Librarian Vince Ervin E. Palcullo presented the library’s status and online resources for the College of Engineering where he also serves as the liaison librarian.
