The University Libraries will be conducting a “Hakot Book Program”, a library outreach activity at the Binon-an Elementary School, Brgy. Binon-an, Batad, Iloilo on July 14, 2023. The objective of this activity is to help with the rehabilitation of the Binon-an Elementary School Library that was destroyed by Typhoon Yolanda in 2013 by providing the following:

• donation of library learning resources;
• donation of library shelves and other furniture; and
• assist/help in the organization of the donated library resources

The elementary school library’s needs came to our attention when we conducted a community outreach activity at Barangay Binon-an last year, April 27, 2022, thus, our intention of conducting the said activity.

The Library is collecting donations of pre-loved clothing, shoes, bags, children’s books, toys, and school supplies for our library’s outreach activity.

The Library is accepting donations until July 10, 2023 (Monday). You may drop off your donations in designated boxes in each floor of the library. For questions or inquiries, you may call the library office at 329-1971 local 1011.
