She finished both her Master in Library and Information Science (2019) and Bachelor of Library and Information Science (Magna Cum Laude, 2014) here at Central Philippine University (CPU). Allana ranked first in the 2015 licensure examination for librarians. She is a part-time faculty for the Bachelor of Library and Information Science program under the College of Computer Studies, teaching Introduction to Indexing and Abstracting and Multiculturalism and Indigenous Knowledge for Libraries and Information Centers.

Allana writes for Malditang Librarian, a blog on libraries, librarians, and librarianship in the Philippines. She also writes about Iloilo City for the blog Real Iloilo. She is a member of Iloilo-based bloggers and content creators group, Iloilo Bloggers Society.
